Yesterday, I took photos every hour that I was awake and posted them on Instagram and Twitter. I think it’ll be interesting to look back at my day. I don’t normally post the mundane things in my day, but I think I tend to not share the fun, pretty things in my day. I don’t always share what I’m working on in my day job, and I did a little more of that yesterday. I’ll definitely have to revisit the photos next week.

Stream of Consciousness - free writing.

Today I’m running two races. One is the Fiddlin’ 5k. I ran this race last year with Carol. At first I wasn’t going to “race” since I was running it with my husband and son (in a jogging stroller.) My husband has been sick most of the week, and isn’t running. He’ll be walking the course, so he’s letting me run ahead and race. I’m just interested to see where my fitness level is this year compared to last year.

I signed up for the Sisterhood’s Virtual 10k. I’m running it this afternoon, instead of on Sunday. I needed to get between 9 and 10 miles in this weekend, so this is good incentive. Two race shirts in one weekend! All of my mileage! I feel like I’m winning.

My friend Mendie is in town with her family and we’re going to meet up with them at lunch and explore parts of downtown. (My in-laws are also in town. It’s a very big weekend for us, apparently!) Like I mentioned, I definitely feel like I’m winning.

This week I’ve been doing 21-day fix(ish). I’m starting to feel better. Less bleh all around. I’m making myself eat more vegetables and fewer carbs. (21 Day Fix involves containers and you’re able to eat so many containers worth of various types of foods. Unfortunately, jelly beans are not part of the 21 Day Fix meal plan.) I’m not beating myself up if I eat the occasional bad-for-me meal. I’m just trying to get back on track with healthy eating habits.

Now, if that wasn’t a jumbled mess of thoughts, I don’t know what is. I hope you’re enjoying this beautiful weekend!

  1. Great post today! I love that you’re posting more on Instagram. That’s what it for. To post something in an instant, even if you think it’s mundane. Someone will connect with it. Your races sound so fun. I’m still annoyed that I missed my race last week, but I have another one next week. Brooks is running it with me, but I’m still excited. Have a great day!

  2. I love the idea of posting a full day to see what’s going on. I sort of did this weekend, but I think it will be fun to set a timer or alarm and actually do it for an entire day!

And, great job with the running and eating. Running I’m not doing much of and eating well, those black jelly beans didn’t eat themselves!
