It’s Homecoming weekend and I’m having a little bit of downtime in my office. I’ve been going since 6:40 this morning when I arrived on campus, and sitting here I just wonder if I can take a quick nap at my desk and still get ready for a dinner I have to attend in two hours (and that I have to help finish setting up for in an hour.)

I don’t think that nap is happening.

It’s been an eventful day. Many activities were canceled because of weather, and other events moved indoors. One of my colleagues is a Periscope machine, so what I have missed in person I’ve relived in Persicope videos. (You can find Mars Hill University on Periscope at periscope.tv/marshillu)

I’m ready to be home and in bed. I know today will be full of play since I’ve missed out on my boy the past two days. This morning he was calling for me at 6:15. I was walking out the door. Poor little guy. He doesn’t understand the concept of work, especially when it takes me away for long days. At least this doesn’t happen ever week, right?

What are you up to this weekend? Lots of rain in your area?

  1. Our weekend was very quiet. Our kids are grown. It was cloudy all weekend but no rain in ages here. Family in South Carolina are getting pounded! Take care.
