When I was pregnant almost 5 years ago, I posted about it weekly. It was a fun series to look back on. The week after my due date and I was still waiting on the baby to just come out, I pulled together a scrapbook chronicling each week (complete with photos from almost every week.) I was so ambitious then.

I’ve been debating doing weekly – or even monthly – updates this time. Honestly I can barely remember how far along I am until the doctor mentions it. Last time I was counting down the weeks.

Yesterday I mowed our front yard and started on our back yard (really to mulch the leaves because we have so many.) I would have never thought to mow the first pregnancy. Things change. (Though that didn’t stop me from pulling a tree back into someone’s yard when I was more than 7 months pregnant. That was a special moment!)

The insomnia set in much earlier, though my hates-sleep-4-year-old isn’t helping tremendously with that problem. He crawled into our bed at 4 this morning and I kicked him back out at 5 when he was still thrashing around. I don’t mind him coming into my bed, but go to sleep if it isn’t yet 6 a.m.

Last time I still loved drinking soda. This time not-so-much. I’ve forced myself to drink a soda to get the caffeine (I don’t drink coffee. Ever.)

The nesting urges are hitting much sooner this time. I think that stems from having to turn the guest room into a big boy room for our son and I’m just anxious about it. I want to do it NOW, but there’s so much to get rid of first and that takes time.

It’s interesting for me to note the differences…I may just have to keep track of them afterall.
