Stream of Consciousness: Saturday night {week 73} #SOC #blogging #freewriting

I know I’ve been traveling for a few days, and there was plenty of downtime, but we’re home and I feel like we’ve been going, going, going for several days.

The boy is in bed, my husband is out at a movie, I’m on the couch with my cat and laptop. Chloe (the cat) and I are watching While You Were Sleeping.

This is Saturday night, and I kind of dig it.

I spent the past few days working on freelance and other projects – trying to get ahead for this busy week. The first of several holiday parties happen this week. The first being Friday. We’re invited to multiple parties on Saturday night and for the first time in several years, we’re going to just one. (We’ve been known to start at one, and end at the other – and it’s been fun, but I don’t think my pregnant self can keep up with that schedule right now.)

I’m hoping we’ll get the Christmas tree up tomorrow, I’ll finish up my projects and this week will be smooth sailing.

Can you believe that December is just a couple of short days away? I’m thrilled to experience the month through a four-year-old’s eyes. I thought last year was fun, but I think this year may top everything.

On that note, my five minutes are up and I need more water, but I have a cat sleeping on my feet. I hate to disturb her.
