Stream of Consciousness: Pancakes and cereal {week 74} #soc #freewriting #blogging

The littlest boy and I are arguing over syrup this morning. I gave him pancake with syrup for breakfast, but he can’t always see the syrup before he takes a bite and he believes he needs even more syrup. He doesn’t understand how the syrup soaks into pancake and it can get a little frustrating.

That might be the most random thought I have for the weekend.

I finally have a decent start on Christmas shopping, thanks to a Friday night out to shop for the boy and an hour on Amazon shopping for other family members. I even visited the outlets yesterday for a short time and was able to shop for my husband (and I can rarely resist the new Carter’s/OshKosh stores, so of course I went there too.)

I think I want to have everything purchased or ordered in the next week so I can have everything wrapped before the following weekend. I just want to enjoy the next couple of weeks and my energy level is just….not there.

I’m starting to feel more and more baby movements. I can’t remember how far along I was with the first pregnancy. (Ok, I just checked. Week 20 was when I thought I was feeling more movement, and we’re right there.) I feel like we’re so far behind on cleaning out/planning out rooms. We started clearing out a large dresser in our guest room, so I guess we’re not totally behind. It’s just different since we don’t have a blank slate to deal with like we did last time. (Last time we moved our office out of a room and created a nursery. Now we’re clearing a guest room out, making a big boy room and then re-creating a nursery.)

Lucas has decided he wants cereal since I won’t give him more syrup. I guess that’s it for this morning.
