All the purging {week 79} #SOC #freewriting #blogging #pregnancy

Our 4-year-old is moving into a bigger bedroom soon, which means we will no longer have a guest room. Really, our guest room was just a gathering space for extra stuff. Books, crafts, random mail, clothes. You name it, it probably lived in the guest room at some point.

Until this week.

Or, rather, over Christmas break. I had the sudden nesting urge that everything must go. I somehow created a bigger mess, but I think most of my messes get worse before they get better. Thankfully, this one is getting better. I emptied so much of my belongings from a dresser, started eliminating books and throwing stuff away.

Then I asked in a Facebook group if anyone wanted our guest bed. It was claimed within 5 minutes. Amazing.

We have plans to clear more the of room this weekend. I’m hoping we make a lot of space. I’m so anxious to get the room cleared, painted, decorated. I know in a few weeks I’ll have zero energy again. I wish I could bottle it all up right now and spread it over the final 8-10 weeks of pregnancy.

I’ve been weeding through other areas of our house too. We have so many Christmas decorations. Every year I think we’re going to do even more decorating the next year, and we don’t. And there are a lot of ornaments we have, but never, ever use. Ever. So out they’re going.

I’m excited about the weekend, if it’s spent cleaning.
