Weekend shenanigans {week 85} #SOC #blogging #freewriting

I don’t know why the weekends insist on flying by so quickly. I feel like it was JUST 5:00 on Friday afternoon and we were leaving the office.

It’s been a good weekend. Fairly uneventful, in terms of obligations outside of our house. The rainy, cloudy weather helped with the cleaning process the past two days.

It never fails that I find my motivation on Sunday evenings. Thankfully, my motivation hit on Saturday and I finally lost steam on Sunday evening.

I ordered a mattress for Lucas’ new room this past week, and it arrived Friday, rather than tomorrow. The thing was compressed into a small box (I have no idea how they did it.) And we had to open it in the bedroom, so it can decompress for about 72 hours. We technically can’t use it for a couple more days, which is fine. The bed frame hasn’t made its way upstairs either. It also needs to be put together. Needless to say, Lucas and Chloe are fans of the new mattress. I’m really excited to see how the room turns out.

I don’t know about you, but I could really use another two days off to recover from the past two days.
