Play dates, internet, music and babies {week 91} #SOC #freewriting #blogging
This weekend has already thrown me for a loop – and it’s barely started. We had a play date at the mall last night. My boy met up with one of his friends from school. It was funny to see how excited they were to see each other – even after seeing each other all day at school. Obviously that’s true friendship. 😉
We potentially have another play date set for this morning, but I have to see how my body really feels after yesterday’s events.
I battled with Charter for hours to get them to show up, and move our modem to a different part of the house. One wouldn’t think that would be such an issue, but apparently it is. The technician and I were at odds over my router. It’s not the latest greatest, router, but it works and it’s worked for some time – even when we’re across the house. So I don’t know why I would need a new one today when I’m 30 feet from the modem and router. Please don’t underestimate my intelligence. At one point, I had my laptop plugged directly into the modem and the internet wasn’t working – clearly an issue with the modem, and not the router.
I really dislike people who try to sell me on items I don’t need.
I preordered the Lukas Graham album on Amazon. It fully downloaded yesterday and I’ve listened to it more than a dozen times. The baby moves a lot when I’m listening to his music. There’s so much talent there, and I love the entire album. (For $6.99, I highly recommend it. Also, that’s an affiliate link. Just doing the full disclosure thing. No big deal.)
All of baby girl’s clothes are washed, sorted and put away. I’m questioning her ability to fit into newborn sizes (we received several newborn outfits at showers, but also passed along from other friends.) If she can stay put until late next week, I’ll feel good.
The husband is traveling at the moment. For several days. I wasn’t so nervous months ago when he contemplated not going on this work trip, but now that we’re in it? Well….it makes me nervous.
My brain is a jumbled mess, and I’ve certainly gone over my 5 minutes of random writing. I hope you have a fabulous, stress-free weekend!
