I think the baby is finally coming out of her newborn haze – at least in the middle of the night. About every other night she is waking every 2 or so hours. (The other nights, I’m still having to wake her.) It still hasn’t reached the point we were at with our firstborn, but it definitely throws me off.

I started this post much earlier this morning and I had to go handle kids – so here I am 12 hours later. Interesting how that happens.

Today was graduation day for most of our local colleges/universities (including the one I work for.) Out of three spring graduations, this was the first I have missed, and I was a little bummed about it. Our students are fantastic, and some of my favorite students graduated today. I’ve watched videos online and I’m so excited for them. It just felt weird to be missing it.

My brother has been home this weekend, and my boy loves having his uncle around. Sadly, my kid was acting all out of sorts this evening, so we couldn’t even enjoy the first hour we were at my mom’s before dinner. (My child may have had a little too much iPad usage recently. The iPad is now hidden, where it will remain until someone has earned the privilege to use it sparingly again.) I’m hoping that tomorrow is a much better day.

And while I’m on my random tangents….last night I discovered that the infant car seat adapter we have for our BOB stroller will not accommodate our new infant car seat. And the stroller cannot use a newer adapter (because of when it was manufactured.) I’m trying to remember how long we used BOB with the adapter before we moved Lucas into the regular stroller part (not running, just walking.) I do have an older stroller (not a jogging stroller) that I may use for now. So. Just random. And I really want to get out and walk soon – even if it’s just up and down my street, since I can’t do hills yet.
