Dear economy,
Could you please get better? This kind of stuff is a little scary and I’m over it.
I would love to enjoy my long weekend without having to worry about being laid off next week, but it seems you don’t want it to work that way. Economy, I think you suck.

I agree…the economy is totally sucky right now, and people seem to be getting laid of left and right..I hope you aren’t one of them.
I’m hoping the same thing. We got official word that some of us will be gone by next week. I hate this has to happen, and I hate even more that we all have to think about it over the long weekend!
I just did an analysis on Gannett for my business strategy class. It’s digital revenue has doubled twice in the last two years, while newspaper revenue went down 20 percent. I think you will be safe because you are on the digital side. That is clearly where Gannett needs to invest more, not less, if it is going to survive.
Thanks, Lynde! I was thinking the same thing, but then they laid off half of the online staff in December. I guess I’ll just have to wait and see this one out.
