Sophie + snow

I think the most exciting part of my day was taking Sophie on a walk (to our normal field) and watching her react to the snow. She isn’t a huge fan of cold, wet, muddy – anything other than comfortable, dry temperatures, really. And she’s never been one to run or play, but you can occasionally get you to run back and forth to people if you sound REALLY excited to get her to come to you.

If she’s sniffing around (and far enough away from the road that she can’t easily get over to dry land), she likes to keep one paw out of the snow.

She’s so weird.

I took her leash off (because she’s well-behaved and will come when called. We were also in a field and there was no traffic nearby.) And we got her to run a bit.

Doesn’t she look like she’s having fun??

I wish Oliver had been around (and well enough) to enjoy the snow. I think that’s the only thing that was missing from our afternoon adventure.

Oh, and they’ve updated our forecast. We’re expecting between 4 and 8 inches of snow, rather than up to 10 inches of snow tonight and tomorrow. That’s promising, right?
