(spring) break 2011

We’re taking a mini-vacation in a few weeks, hitting up a bed and breakfast a few hours away (my husband won a free night’s stay and we have to use it before July) and then…..we’re going somewhere for two days.

I want to do something beach-y. Charleston, even. I love Charleston. Kenny mentioned going to DC. And then he mentioned the Outer Banks.

Charleston is 4 hours from home, so the trip back wouldn’t be terrible. The Outer Banks and DC are both over 8 hours away from home. Long drive home. And I’d have one day to rest before going back to work. He would have half of a week.

So. Do we go to DC – a city neither of us has visited – and try something new? The Outer Banks – a place that both of us have visited, but never together (and OBX is pretty great.) Or Charleston, another place that we’ve both visited, but never for very long with each other?

Or somewhere completely different? I need suggestions, friends and family.

  1. I love DC so much! It would always be my pick. I adore all the history and culture there.
I will also add the disclaimer that I do not care for the beach…
Anywhere for a vacation sound good. Andy and I haven’t been anywhere besides to see family in several years – enjoy!!

  2. I’d say, Charleston. You don’t seem to be handling riding in a car to well & 8 hr return trip sounds a bit daunting….. Wherever, have a wonderful time!
