Stitch Fix May 2019 Review

This is a few weeks overdue, and I have since received another Stitch Fix box! A lot of my items were intended for spring/summer, so I figure it would help some discover the service, or get ideas for their summer wardrobe. And now I present to you my Stitch Fix May 2019 review.

I’ve been sticking with my same stylist for more than a year. When you find a stylist you like, you can request the same stylist for your next box (and I love this feature.) I updated my Pinterest board with tops I really wanted to try, rain jackets and a dress that appeared in an email in early May. We’re going to Seattle in July and I thought a rain jacket would be a good addition to my wardrobe.

Stitch Fix May 2019 Review - getting ready for summer and vacation with this fix! #fashion #stitchfixstyle #style

MARKET & SPRUCE – Britta T-shirt Dress – $64

My stylist couldn’t find the exact dress, but she sent a different t-shirt dress for me to try. This dress is so comfortable, and I can wear it to work or wear it around town during the summer. It’s fun and I think it’ll be nice to take on our trip this summer.

The North Face – CITY MIDI Trench Jacket – $148

I was REALLY excited to see this rain jacket in my box, and while I wasn’t really wanting to spend $148, it’s worth the price. It fits great, is really cute and I’m ready to wear this into fall.

Daniel Rainn – Salinka Crochet Detail Cotton Blend Knit Top – $58

The picture of this top doesn’t do it justice. The crochet detail is really pretty. The material is kind of slinky, and this top can be dressed down or a little dressier for my office.

PINK CLOVER – Denver Front Twist Scoop Neck Knit Top – $38

This top confused me. My stylist described me wearing it for spring, but the week it arrived temps in our area were in the 90s. Spring passed by us quickly, and I won’t be wearing this until fall, maybe. I actually would have preferred this in the short sleeve version (which is on my Pinterest board.)

Calvin Klein Suit Separates – Haiden Flutter Detail Blouse – $58

Two boxes before this one, I received another CK Suit Separates top. It was a reddish/pink color, and it did not fit well. I kept it because of the discount, but noted that I was not a fan of the top, this brand, etc. I actually asked to avoid blue in this box, so I was disheartened by this top. $58 is a lot of money to drop on a shirt you know won’t fit you well and you had already complained about.

In the end, I kept all five items. I was on the fence with the CK and Pink Clover tops, but keeping them gave me the 25% discount and that was worth it. I figured I might be able to find someone else who wanted the Calvin Klein top (which is what happened to be previously.)

When checking out, I left feedback for all items and I was pretty harsh about the Calvin Klein top. Stitch Fix’s customer service is top notch, and they reached out to me. They have noted on my account to not include this brand with future Fixes, and offered to refund me for the CK top (I sent it back.) They still gave me my discount, which I thought was nice.

I should also note that I also bought the Style Pass for this Fix, meaning I paid $49 and I don’t have to pay a style fee in the next year. The $49 was credited on this Fix (so that part is similar to the normal $20 styling fee.) I’ve heard mixed reviews about the Style Pass, but wanted to give it a try. If you have never tried Stitch Fix before, using my link you can give it a shot and receive $25 towards your first Fix
