I saw this link-up and thought it would be fun for May. The goal is to blog each day this month, and she has provided prompts in case I’ve hit a mental block one day. So here we go….(Oh, and the word count starts…..now.)
I was born in Illinois many years ago (not many people realize that.) I know we moved several times because my dad was in the Navy. I recall living in upstate New York until we moved to North Carolina in the late 80s (when my parents split up.)
I’ve lived in the same neighborhood since 1987 – minus college years and 2.5 years after that. I went to college just north of Asheville (where I live now) and I always dreamed of moving back north, but have you seen what winter is like there? No, thank you.
I started running in middle school. I ran in high school and even had a partial running scholarship in college my freshman year. I didn’t run my senior year of college, and picked it up again the year after I graduated. Oh, and at one point, I was a part of several school records for the 2-mile relay in high school.
I met my husband through an online dating site and it turned out we had mutual friends and just hadn’t met. We married in 2007, bought a house in 2008, adopted our cat in 2009 and had our first child in 2011.
I truly am a wife, mom, cat-owner, crafter, gardener and runner – and not necessarily in that order.
