November has flown by – or is it just me? And in my blogging world, I’ve done so. much. stuff. And I have about a dozen posts to complete this weekend, just to remain timely.

I bought stamps this week for our Christmas cards. Now I need to update my spreadsheet and hope that I have all addresses (and that they are correct addresses.) My goal is to have cards in the mail on Monday. Ambitious!

I’ve been a sewing fool the past few days. I’ve made several pairs of pajamas and a set of finger puppets. I don’t even know who I am anymore! I had a goal to get items in my Etsy shop by Friday, but it just didn’t happen. Maybe Monday? Hopefully Monday.

We had the occupy the 3-year-old indoors most of this week. It was so cold. It was in the 30s all of Friday and he desperately wanted to go out and play. I’m hoping that today and tomorrow’s weather will stick to the forecast of upper 50s and mid-60s. We need some outside time.

We went to one store on Black Friday – Sam’s Club. I needed some grocery items, and I wanted one item that was on sale. The store was fairly empty. I was shocked and impressed. Other than that, I did my shopping online. I guess gone are the days that I wake in the middle of the night and shop til I drop. And I refuse to go to a store on Thanksgiving Day. I’ve worked retail during the holidays and I think it’s awful that stores (even my beloved Target) would make employees work on Thanksgiving.

Talk about random today.

Welcome back to another week of Stream of Consciousness Saturday. This is the time where I spend 5 minutes free writing. I usually post this for Saturday morning, but sometimes that just doesn’t happen. It’s totally fine.

Want to participate? The rules….

1. Set a timer for five minutes. (Or keep tabs with your computer’s clock.)

2. Write freely. Any topic. Whatever is on your mind. It doesn’t even have to be completely cohesive.

3. Tag on social media with #SOCSaturday or #SOCSunday and link up below. You have all day Saturday and Sunday to join the link up. It closes Monday morning.

4. Click around and give some comment/blog love.

  1. You really have had such a big month with the blog! I’ve been admiring you all month for your blogging tenacity. I need to gear back up for December. So many ideas floating around in my head. I didn’t do any shopping on Fridays, though I probably should have bought some stuff online. Can’t wait to see you soon!

  2. Agreed! I refuse to shop on Thanksgiving either. I think that every spot should be closed- just keep some gas stations where you can pay at the pump available. 🙂 I am going to check your Etsy shop tomorrow!

  3. love this randomness!! we had awesome weekend weather, hope you did too! no black friday shopping for me, I have a nice full cart at Amazon to process later this week though, then I will be mostly finished. I am running out of time for Christmas cards…
