Last year, I shared about Country Life and their prebiotics I had tried for myself. And now I’m back to talk about gut health and immunity support in kids – and their prebiotics for children! The products I was sent are for children ages 4-12. (My kids are ages 4 and 9, so this was great timing.)

My kids are no strangers to daily vitamins and extra immune system support when colder weather begins to settle in, but since last winter, I’ve truly upped our game. I’m far more consistent with giving them vitamins and I have been pushing more fruits and vegetables since we’re home more. Now I’m adding a few more supplements to our routine.

My daughter has back in preschool since May, but I saw she still managed to catch the beginning of the year cold when the classes changed, and a few new kids entered her classroom. My son returned to in-person school two weeks ago, and I’m hoping we can avoid the colds and stomach bugs that always seem to make an appearance. (Looking back at my memories on social media, I know my daughter was diagnosed with croup just a year ago!) One other things that we’ve had to battle since March is poor sleep – with everyone in the household. There was a lot of stress in everything, and it definitely took a toll on my kids.

I love the different products Country Life has to offer. The Cognitive Balance is just what my son needs as he returns to a classroom setting. Virtual school has been okay, but he definitely needs a little help with his attention and focus. The Digestive Balance is great for helping both kids tummies considering we’ve allowed a lot more snacking, and at times they just aren’t eating the most balanced diets. I’m excited to see longer-term effects of Immune Balance as we head into cold and flu season. I do try to fight the onset of colds with elderberry, but I’m grateful to have any additional help I can get!

Prebiotics for children to help with digestive balance, immunity support and assist with focus.

And then there’s Country Life’s Sleep Balance. This product claims to increase total sleep time by 10%, decrease the length of time it takes to fall asleep by 54% and improve overall sleep quality. (I’m considering trying it for myself!) It’s a chocolate powder and you can mix it with water, milk, yogurt – something about an hour before your child goes to bed. My daughter has become really difficult to go to bed – and then she wakes up between 5:30 and 6. It’s not great for her overall health, and while I’m glad she still takes a nap each day, I’d love to make sure she’s getting enough sleep at night. The Sleep Balance is also melatonin free, which I find MOST interesting! I have talked to our pediatrician about using melatonin with my daughter, and we all agree we don’t want to become too reliant on it.

All of these products are probiotic free and non-GMO. They are certified gluten free and vegan, with no artificial flavors or preservatives. I have several friends whose children can’t have gluten, and I find myself looking for gluten free options more and more.
