tea for dinner?

If you’ve been following my Tweets (the twitter feed is on the right) or are a friend of mine on Facebook, you probably know that I haven’t felt the best lately. It’s like my body is trying to get sick, but I will. not. let. it. I had a fever last night, but it was gone this morning. I started feeling feverish at work, but it went away (soup for lunch will do that, I think.)

And I had to be at work for the awesome (note sarcasm) 90-minute conference call today. Since I worked through lunch, I escaped early. The upside to my newer job? I have an office, and can seclude myself pretty easily. I saw emails from co-workers leaving early, or calling in sick, and I just stayed back in my hole of an office.

Tonight I had Russian Tea – my mom used to make us drink that when we were sick. I hated it unless it had a TON of Tang in it, because I loveeeeeeee Tang. So tonight I had tea, and I’m wondering. Can tea really be my dinner? Because I don’t really want anything else.

Except for maybe the *special* cough syrup that always helps me when I’m sick. (I take cough syrup with codeine if the cough gets too bad….I still have a bottle from the last go-round with bronchitis, earlier this year.)

Tea for dinner. I think I’ll help myself to seconds.

  1. Hope you start to feel better. I’ve been “under the weather” since Friday and am still not feeling great.
