thankful Thursday

It’s Thursday and I haven’t done a thankful Thursday post in a while. So let’s be positive and thankful today (because it seems like a good day to do such things.)

1. My mom is home after a week of traveling with my grandma. I’ve been looking after her house/garden/dog which normally isn’t terrible, but it’s a lot of work. Throw in my cat who hates the dog, and it wasn’t a pleasant experience. We are all VERY happy she’s home!

2. We’ve started a Summer 2014 bucket list. On that list is read 3 books (me) and run a 5k with the toddler (in his jogging stroller.) And a few other items that we already have booked. I want to be sure we have things written down that we can really do – and I want to enjoy this summer!

3. Ice cream trucks. The toddler was woken up by the ice cream truck on Sunday, and rather than tell him it was really a music truck driving by, I embraced it and ran outside to make sure they stopped. Fairly certain he loved it. (Look at his smile!)
