thankful Thursday – the car accident edition.

It’s been a tough week. It started out great. Tuesday was fabulous, and I even got out of work a few minutes early.

On my way home, my car was hit by another car. Someone sped up to try and run a red light. And that other driver left the scene. Nothing like a hit-and-run to send your week spinning out of control. This happens to far too many people and there are plenty of lawsuits being created because people don’t want to own up to what they did. It’s so easy to get yourself a lawyer for it now though, all you have to do is type in something like auto accident lawyer into google and you’ll be sorted, that being said, if you’d prefer not to just deal with the attorney over the phone or by email then you may want to find one closer to home, for this you will need to alter your text that you type into google slightly, for example if you live in the San Bernadino area then you’ll want to type San Bernardino Car Accident Attorney into your browser, that way google will show links to websites of car accident attorneys in the San Bernadino area, however you will find that you’ll still see some results for attorneys not local as some state that they work nationwide.

However, things are getting better, so I am trying to focus on everything I’m thankful for.

This week, in relation to my car accident, I’m thankful for:

–a decent car that kept me safe when another car slammed into me. (I’ll be more thankful if the car can be repaired).
–that my son was not in the car with me. He was safe at daycare.
–kind bystanders and witnesses. They could have all kept on driving/walking/going their own way. More than a dozen people stopped, and most waited for the police to take their report before leaving.
–insurance.
–really great co-workers/friends who have offered to help us this week.
–even better family members who have helped us this week.
–the ability to work from home.
–my health (and my chiropractor.)
–the officer who was working this case ended up finding the driver later that night. I’m glad he was working the case and that he was angry enough to want to find the driver who did this.

Here’s hoping for a good weekend – accident-free.
