the end of my photography class
My last photography class was Tuesday night. The class went an extra week because of a cancelled class a few weeks ago. And by this week, I was ready to have my schedule back (and bedtime on Tuesday nights to get back to normal.)
This week we critiqued each others photos. We were supposed to submit 3 photos that we’ve taken to the teacher by last Tuesday. My mom and I were hoping to leave class a little early, and then realized that my photos were second to last to be critiqued. (File naming fail, on my part. He loaded the photos by file name, so most were named with numbers or A or D as the first character. I named mine with my name, to avoid confusion. Never again.)
My first photo was my favorite of the three I submitted. And it was the one that needed no improvements. I’m pretty proud of it.
Remember this?
I love that photo. I love my kid’s expression, the pumpkins. All of it. And so did the teacher.
(My next two photos were ok. One was of the leaves from a visit to Biltmore. Neither of those two photos were as great as the above photo, though.)
I’m so glad I took this class. I really did learn a lot. I would love to take the advanced class, but I knew it was not in the cards for this next session. I need a break. Maybe in the spring or next summer, I can work it in.
Have you taken any classes for fun recently?
