Things I’m Loving – October 2019

October is my favorite month (birthdays! wedding anniversary! work fun! cooler weather!) and while things are off to a slightly rough start, I wanted to share several things I’m loving this month. Plus, it’s been a hot minute since I shared a few of my favorite things!

(This is an older photo – I’m patiently waiting for trees to finally turn in western North Carolina!)

I bought myself the Central Perk LEGO set for my birthday. I bought it through Lego.com, and it’s currently sold out, but hopefully it’ll be back in stock soon! Friends is one of my favorite shows, and I love quoting it. Now I just need to find a few minutes to start building the set.

My birthday was last week, and I took the day off from work to do whatever I wanted! I worked out at the gym, spent some time crafting, had lunch with a good friend, watched a few episodes of Gilmore Girls and had dinner with my family. It really was a good day. 🙂

The weather finally seems to be cooling off. I mean, we are still seeing close to 80, if not 80 degrees, but at least it isn’t 90? (Seriously, though, where is the cooler fall weather?)

We visited a corn maze at the end of last month and we have plans to continue the fall fun this month! My daughter has been sick the past week, but hopefully in the next couple of weeks we can get to an orchard, pick apples and maybe pick out another pumpkin. (If you have an Aldi nearby, check them out for inexpensive pumpkins! I bought two at $2.39/pumpkin this past weekend.)

We have two kids costumes picked out, purchased and in hand! We have a Halloween party next weekend, so now the adults just need costumes.

Finally, The Voice is back and I’m trying to keep up by streaming through Hulu. I miss Adam, but I still love, love, love this show. I don’t want a ton of television when it’s in season (I’m overbooked, for sure), but this is a good one.
