We had a full week of sickness last week. This is what it looks like when it hits our house:
That was Tuesday, about 30 minutes before we saw a doctor and learned we were just battling a virus. There was no medicine that could really help us.
He didn’t go to daycare the rest of the week. We watched a lot of Sesame Street, napped, drank a lot of water and avoided food (his decision, not mine.) We did very little playing. We used a lot of Vicks on his feet, ran a humidifier at night and during naptime and even got the go-ahead to try a little honey to cut the cough. (It helped briefly. We didn’t use it often.)
This was later in the week:
Still sick. Still sad. It was a very sad week around here.
Thankfully by Saturday, he was starting to come around. On Sunday, he started playing on his own. The un-sick baby has since been eating normally (like a picky toddler), playing, laughing and jumping on the furniture (a habit we need to break.) I’m so happy to have the healthy kiddo back.
Hope your household has managed to avoid the sickness and that spring is finally starting to arrive in your area. We need spring!!
