I’ll have completed my first 5K race since November, 1998. My junior year of college. (During my senior year I had a job and was unable to have Saturdays off, therefore I had to quit cross country.) Anyway, I’ll be running the Citizen-Times 5k starting at 8 a.m. (There’s a half marathon, but I’m not that ambitious yet.) My goal is to complete it in under 30 minutes. Seems like a pretty crazy goal – I used to run in well under 25 minutes. But, seeing how it’s my first race in 8 years, I didn’t want to set a goal I couldn’t very well achieve.
So, think good thoughts. I really could use them.
