time for some relaxation….
Our friends invited us out to their lake house today, so we’re headed out this afternoon for relaxing-filled getaway. (We’ll be back tomorrow.)
We ran 10 miles this morning. 10 very hard miles. It was pretty much the Sunset Stampede course, and it was 5 miles up a mountain. I never, ever run the Sunset Stampede, and that mountain is the reason why.
But I finished in 1:53. Not terrible. I was pretty much the last runner in the group going up the mountain. I finished in front of five or six people (there were about a dozen runners who met today.) Next week is the Citizen-Times Half Marathon, and then I jump back into training for the Kiawah Marathon.
I have a feeling that my racing days are numbered. Just want to throw that out there.
