Time to get away to Aruba!

We’ve reached the middle of June and almost the official beginning of summer and all I can think about is the beach. And an island vacation to be a little more specific.

I have friends and family who have visited Aruba on more than one occasion. I’m more than a little jealous and wished they had taken me along for the fun. My number one reason for wanting to visit Aruba is simple: the beaches. I’m ready to kick back in a lounge chair with this view:

Who wouldn’t enjoy swimming or parasailing along these beaches?

I’d also have to do a little bit of shopping. Did you know that Aruba offers a wide variety of international brand name products at prices that are 10 to 35 percent lower than those in the US? (That means, more shopping for me!)

Of course this would have to be a family trip and shopping isn’t going to keep the husband and kiddo happy, so we’d definitely have to check out Arikok National Park and rock formations Aruba has to offer. My husband is a big fan of museums, and Aruba has a new archaeology museum that I’m sure he’d get a kick out of. For the boy, I think he would most enjoy the ostrich farm and would probably start looking at How To Raise Ostrich For Profit so he could have it as his job! He would love the donkey sanctuary. (I think I would most enjoy the ostrich farm!)
