timing is everything.
Several weeks ago (around my birthday, I believe), I planned a Sex and the City movie night at our place. It would be girls only, we’d watch the movie and drink cosmopolitans….just as soon as I learned how to make them. Well, the girls night in was last night, and it was a good distraction from the rest of the day’s activities.
We had SUCH a good time! I talked to my mom earlier in the day, figured out what I needed and she told me her recipe, which is apparently tried and true. I didn’t have any complaints about the drinks until the second round for the others (I was on my third or fourth, after “testing” earlier) and I had made them a little too strong.
The husbands (at least, the ones who weren’t sick and had to retreat back to their homes) went to the Wedge brewery and then to the Admiral. I hear they had a good time, too.
I had originally thought of a chick-flick club a couple of months ago, but this girls night in kind of worked out better…and might have been cheaper. We’re planning on our next movie night, which I believe we’re watching “Love Actually,” and trying to figure out what European drink we could make. Any suggestions?
As a side note, this is my 299th post! 300 will have to be big….
