toddler talk
My toddler talks. A lot. When we are out and about, or at swim lessons or anywhere other kids might be, I’ve found myself telling other parents that my kid talks a lot and there probably isn’t anything “wrong” with their child for not talking like him. This really did happen last month at swim lessons. One woman started feeling bad that her 18-month-old didn’t talk like my 22-month-old. (I had to reason with her – he didn’t sleep for the longest time, and he can be a picky eater.)
Some people don’t believe me, though, when I tell him what he says or sings. So I’ve found myself taking videos whenever possible. He likes to sing when in his crib, so I’ve taken video of the door just to get his voice. (He also likes to yell in the morning, “mommy, where are you?” so I took a video of the door to capture that.)
And now we have this post. A collection of recent toddler talk videos. Enjoy. (you may have to adjust your volume of the individual videos. They can be somewhat quiet if I’m further away from him.)

Singing before bed one night (he’s trying to say “here” and “there” after he quacks):
