My top 5 moments from Mom 2.017

I have been home from Mom 2.0 for over a week and I still haven’t been able to process all of the greatness I experienced. I figured I owe you (well, really my blog) some sort of roundup. So here are my five best moments of Mom 2.0 – my first time attending this conference!

I was reunited with my favorite #RoomCon girls! Normally we get a group selfie first thing, but this one was from our final night. For some reason, we don’t have many photos of the four of us this time. We will have to fix that next year.

The brands were amazing. I loaded up on Dove baby products, and Olive Garden was great to talk to in between sessions. (I may have also enjoyed their blue margarita at one party.) Facebook had a suite where we could play with newer features, record live videos or just take fun photos in their photo booth. Amazon and Best Buy had suites, I fell in love with Green Giant veggie tots and G.H. Cretors popcorn. I had a long talk with folks at Munchkin. I connected with brands in the pool two evenings. (Like the Treehouse App and Flipboard.) And those are just a few of the brands – I’m leaving so many out right now!

The speakers. Julianna Marguliese was a speaker and she was fabulous. Andrew Shue was an emcee for the Iris Awards. (Granted, we had a hard time hearing him for about half of the ceremony, but I did have fun meeting him briefly after.)

Random trivia. UPtv was at the conference, and they were doing trivia at one of the parties (Thursday night.) Barry Watson happened to be there, and I may have joined in on a round of 7th Heaven trivia. I loved that show. Unfortunately, Karen and I came in third (I don’t think she had ever seen the show), but Barry was fun to listen to and joke around with while going through the questions! (Shameless plug: He has a show coming out soon, “Date My Dad.” You should look it up.)

I was able to dress up, but dress comfortably. The Iris Awards were as fancy as you made them. I loved that. (And I love my new LuLaRoe Carly I bought a few weeks ago!)

Bonus moment: During the final day, my friends and I recorded this boomerang at G.H. Cretors and it was AMAZING. I don’t think I’ve laughed so hard in months.

**I attended Mom 2.0 at my own expense. The brands I’ve mentioned didn’t pay me to talk about them. All of this here? It was real life, and it was a lot of fun.
