training Tuesday

I’m falling behind this week (that should show you what kind of week I’m having, considering it’s only Tuesday!) I worked out this past week – and I even ran a race! I also tried a couple new things.

Here goes…..

trainingtuesday

Tuesday – Two workouts – the one week shred dvd. So I did strength in the morning, but then I decided to take advantage of the weather and I ran 3.3 miles in my neighborhood.

Wednesday – Two workouts. I did the strength workout in the morning and cardio in the afternoon.

Thursday – Two workouts. Strength in the morning and 3 miles on the treadmill during my lunch hour. And then it all kind of fell apart.

Friday – I did something to my back on Thursday and I could barely move on Friday (plus I spent 5 hours in the car on Friday.) So I didn’t do anything.

Saturday – Oskar Blues 4-mile race! I ran the race with Julie (and also my friend Aileen and two of her friends) and I finished in 39:10. It was a really good race and one I’d definitely run again in the future! (Full race report to come soon!!)

Sunday – Rest. I just didn’t have energy.

Monday – Another nothing day.

I’m happy to say that I’ve already worked out for today, and my back is feeling better. I’ve altered my way of eating this week and I’m starting to feel the (good!) effects from it.

I was hoping I could also review the one week shred workout, but I’ll have to try it another week. I don’t think two workouts per day is for me, though. It’s tough!

How was your week?

  1. I know how horrible back pain can be – I’m glad you’re feeling better!

And yeah, I keep thinking I’m going to push through and do the Jillian DVD but I kind of hate the idea of working out twice in one day.

  2. WOW you started strong! I always rest a couple of days after a race. I think the adrenaline zaps the energy levels & body as much as the actual physical activity. Looking forward to the race report!
