Tuesday – 3.37 miles in 39 minutes. Not a bad run. It was warm, hilly and there were plenty of stops with the stoplights. We tried to run the Bele Chere 5k course, since we’re contemplating signing up. This could be the last Bele Chere (nobody has stepped in to pick up the tab for next year and the city is dropping the festival from their budget), so it could potentially be the final Bele Chere 5k. We’ll wait and see. It’s a newer course and the last time I ran the race, the course was way more intense. (By the way, I googled to see what my previous time was: 28:46. Think it’s too soon/too ambitions to hope for even faster?)
Wednesday – rest day (I actually donated blood at lunchtime and I was exhausted by the end of the work day. I went to be early too. It was much-needed.)
Thursday – ran 3.05 miles in 30 minutes, 55 seconds. Pretty cool numbers if you’re into cool numbers. I ran the first 1.something miles with my boss, and she had to get back to the office so I went a little further and ran almost 2 miles on my own. It was a good, easy run.
Friday – I intended on getting up early and doing a Jillian Michaels workout (I just got her Killer Abs workout and I wanted to try it before work.) Instead I slept in. I ran at lunch, though. 3.1 miles. It was a really good run.
Sunday – Level 1 of the Killer Abs workout by Jillian Michaels. It was tough and I can’t wait to do it again this coming week.
Monday – I headed out for a 3+ mile run. I knew I wanted to run more than 3, but I didn’t know how many. I ended up running 4.05 miles and felt fairly decent. I was so sore from Sunday’s torture workout. I ran the 4 miles in 40:17.
Oh, and I did sign up for another 5k. The Bele Chere 5k is next Saturday (a week and a half from now) and after Monday’s run, I think that a 28:xx race time is doable. I hit 29:10 for 3 miles on my run on Monday. So if I push myself, I believe I could hit my goal.
Do you ever wake up early to work out before work or before everyone else in the house wakes up? I try to do it at least once or twice a week (now that the toddler sleeps), but lately it’s been tough to get out of bed.
