training Tuesday – crushing June week 2

I think the Shred workouts are helping my arms. The rest of me? It’s still debatable, but I think my arms are starting to look more toned and defined. I’ll take it. And I’ll keep doing all other exercises to get the rest of my body into shape.

I felt like this week was a good week of training. I managed to get several decent runs in and I’ve been mostly sticking with the abs workouts. I’m feeling good. (That may be the theme of this post, by the way. Feeling good.)

Tuesday – ran 3.1 miles. First run since Friday’s 5k. It felt good.

Wednesday – ran 3.52 miles. It was HOT. I mean, really HOT. And I swore I would not run during lunchtime when it is over 80 degrees. This run was a challenge.

Again, it was hot.

Thursday – 30-day shred, level 2. Abs workout.

Friday – 3.6 miles. This was a slow run. I felt okay and I didn’t feel like I could really run any faster. (I think we averaged about a 11-minute/mile pace.)

Saturday – I did 90 minutes of yard work (that includes mowing our hilly yard.) Also did an abs workout.

Sunday – Walked a lot downtown, a little bit of yard work and a 3-mile run. I was exhausted.

Monday – Ran 3.5 miles. Averaged about 9:50-minute miles. I tried to beat the rain, and I did. It sprinkled a bit while I was out there. I was really happy with the end result of this run, though. Also, it started to get warm later in my run. I need to start running earlier. Even if it’s 30 minutes earlier.

Linking up for training Tuesday.

  1. You really did have a great week of training! When I did 30 Day Shred I lost like an inch or so off my hips, but mostly I could see more definition in my arms too!
