This week hasn’t been the greatest in terms of training, but I officially have a race registration in hand! First, though, let’s take a look at what I did (or didn’t do.)
Wednesday – Ran 2.5 miles in the neighborhood. I was leaving the next morning and I kept putting the running off. Glad I eventually went, though, because it was a good run and I didn’t do much the rest of the week.
Friday – Woke up at 5:40 to run with a few ladies at the Type-A Conference! We met in the lobby at 6, and we ran 3.3 miles (according to my app.) Not the fastest miles, but it was a good run with good company!
Monday – Extra tough spin class. That is all.
So I’m signed up for the Thomas Wolfe 8k. Race organizers claim that it’s the same course, but the start/finish is being moved back to the Thomas Wolfe house. I was a little upset that we just ran by the house last year and I’m excited that the start/finish is back at the house. Since it’s an 8k, it’s just under 5 miles. (We’ll call it 5 miles, for fun, since it’s really 4.97 miles.)
I still need to sign up for my November race, but this is a start! My favorite time of year + running? Yes, please!
If you have a Training Tuesday post, link up below! I would love to see what you’ve been up to!
I’m still considering the Thomas Wolf 8K too. I finally got in 4 miles and need to see if I can get up to 5 this week 🙂 We have a few other things we have to do that weekend so I’m trying to see if I can pull it all off.
This cooler weather is awesome.
That should be a fun race! I linked up even though I’m not really training right now. My plan is to start a new spreadsheet tonight for a half at the end of December.
8K is my favorite distance. (i think. maybe. possibly.) long enough to not be all out, all the way, but short enough to not require months of training.
