I’m sad because Abbey and Tamara aren’t hosting Training Tuesday for now. (Hopefully they’ll be back at it again one day.) I’m excited because I’ve actually been training – and I’m now hosting a link-up here on my blog! So if you have a training Tuesday post, please link your post below!

Tuesday – I ran 2.75(ish) miles in my neighborhood.

Wednesday – Nothing. I had the kiddo at home for most of the day and didn’t get a chance to run on my own.

Thursday – I ran 4.1 miles! I totally got my 4-miler in this week! And I completed it in under 40 minutes. (39:25 was my final time.) I ran in my neighborhood and just had a really good run.

Friday – Water aerobics, level 3. This is the toughest level of water aerobics offered at the Y and I figured I could handle it. I definitely held my own for that hour, and I’m planning on going back on Wednesday.

Saturday – Rest day. My upper body was so sore from water aerobics!

Sunday – Ran 2.75ish miles in the neighborhood.

Monday – One hour of cycle class. I took a spin class at the Y that my friend was actually teaching. It was so fun (she had the best playlist) and TOUGH! My legs are going to be recovering for a while!

I haven’t officially signed up, but I’m hoping in the next two weeks I’ll be signed up for the Positive Prevention 12k (held at the beginning of November.) Also, I hope next week I’ll be able to report back with a little bit of beach running!

On a musical note, I’ve been a little obsessed with Katy Perry’s song “Roar” and Sara Bareilles’ song “Brave” (which both sound the same, but Sara’s song came out a few months before Katy’s.) “Roar” is my new go-to running song.

Do you have any music that you will put on repeat while running? Do you prefer to run in silence?

  1. I miss running! I’ve been sidelined with a broke ankle and even though the sports med doc says I’ll be able to run (even a marathon) it feels like I’ll never be back at it šŸ™‚ maroon 5 has a high spot on my playlist.
    (LOVE Sara Bareilles’s new album!)

  2. Looks like you had a great training week! Congrats. I’m hoping to finally do a 4 miler in the next few weeks.
I almost always run to music– but I don’t think I’ve ever put a song on repeat before. I’ll have to check out those songs.. they sound good!
