training Tuesday – making progress
I’m making progress with training, though it had completely slipped my mind to post today (maybe because I’ve only been posting about running for days. Sorry about that. Also, sorry not sorry.)
So I found my copy of Train Like a Mother and told my friend Suzanne that she needs to be sure I stay on track. Hoping I can at least do weights once or twice a week, and get back to running outside during lunch instead of this treadmill nonsense! Also, I have 7 weeks until the half marathon. Cue nerves!
Tuesday – Elliptical for 35 minutes. This was a tough workout, but so worth it.
Wednesday – Mostly rested. I did walk in the afternoon.
Thursday – Quick weights workout. I had planned on doing a double workout (weights then treadmill), but the running just didn’t happen.
Friday – Meetings, meetings and more meetings. I didn’t get to work out. Sad panda.
Saturday – 6 miles total. I ran the Fiddlin’ 5k (details to come later this week) and after the race, we decided to run one of the loops I run during my lunch hour, for a total of 6 miles. It was pretty fun (and I was exhausted later that day.)
(Photo taken during our second 3-mile loop on Saturday. How often do you see foals or calves while running?)
Sunday – 3 mile run. 1 mile walk with the toddler.
Monday – rest day. I actually had a staff lunch planned, so I knew I couldn’t work out during the day.
I definitely see where I could have improved on my workouts, but at least there’s some consistency. I have another travel week coming up and I’m trying to plot out my outdoor running and fitness room workouts. I must make this work to my advantage!
you are rockin’. anything is better than nothing (like me) š
I can honestly say I have never seen a calf while running š
