This week was not good on so many levels.
I only ran twice. I can’t even remember which day I ran last week. I believe it was Thursday. And that was short because I wanted to test out my new shoes that I received the Saturday before.
Thursday – 2.5 miles
Saturday – 10 miles
Tuesday – pilates!!
Like I mentioned yesterday, I ran 9.6 miles with my friend Suzanne (and her friend) before giving up and coming home. When I pulled in the driveway, I made the decision to finish out the 10 miles so I could end on an even number. I was so sore on Saturday. My training schedule has me dropping down this weekend, which I think I may end up doing.
I went to the chiropractor yesterday and he fixed my back for me (I was sooooooo stiff after Saturday’s run.) He asked me about my mid-week workouts and I admitted that they weren’t much. My goal is to increase overall exercising during the week (and hopefully it’ll be way easier now that we have a sleeping baby!)
Note my third workout above – pilates! This morning! Granted, it was just 20 minutes, but it’s SOMETHING and I totally need core workouts. And I completed it before work! (Thank you, oh son of mine, for sleeping!!)
I guess I can’t call this week a total failure. I did complete a 10-mile run. I did get new running shoes. And I did do a core workout – something I haven’t done in months. So I’ll call it a partial success!
