I’m vacationing at the beach right now, but that hasn’t stopped me from training! I’ve actually had a really great week. Water aerobics, running. I’m loving it right now.

View from my Sunday run. It was pretty sweet.

Tuesday – ran 2.75 miles. I had a busy day scheduled with new and current clients. I squeezed in almost 3 miles and was happy with it.

Wednesday – I attended an 8 a.m. water aerobics class (level 3) and we worked so much on upper body. Really, we worked on legs too, but my arms were really feeling it during the class. At lunchtime, I met up with my friend Stacey (she’s also my former boss) for a 3-mile run in Montford. It was a really pretty day and the run was nice, despite my body feeling like jello.

Thursday – 2.5 miles in the neighborhood. I had a rough day mentally. This only helped slightly.

Friday – water aerobics class for one hour. Things were slightly “off.” The instructor admitted that she wasn’t 100% into it, but that didn’t stop us from having a great class. I really like how water aerobics is helping my upper body strength. I tried to use heavier weights, but they were too much for me. Maybe in another couple of weeks.

Saturday – Travel day, so rest day (except for a walk on the beach.)

Sunday – Ran 2.06 miles on the beach. I had a really good run, but I didn’t sleep much the night before. I just couldn’t push myself any further. Overall I felt good.

Monday – Ran approximately 1.5 miles. A thunderstorm cut my run short.

It was a light mileage week for me, but I have no regrets. I needed this trip that I’m on right now to collect my thoughts and get motivated again. (Unfortunately, the beginning of the trip was a lot more stressful than it should have been thanks to an unhelpful realty company that I’ll post about later.)
