We’re home. And at this point, that’s what matters (oh, and the insurance claim also matters. Let’s keep our fingers crossed on that one.)
Things didn’t go well on Friday night, but we couldn’t complain too much. We made it to my cousin’s wedding on Saturday, and that was our overall goal. I was willing to ignore Friday’s issues. Yesterday, though, we ran into bigger problems. Not weather-related problems, but human error. And it caused us to miss our flight home, which landed us in Atlanta for an extra 16 hours.
The claims have been filed with the insurance company (dating back two weeks since that’s when problems started happening with my husband’s departure city.) And I’m waiting for Delta to take my phone call. I think we at least deserve some sort of apology – and my free size XL Delta t-shirt isn’t going to cut it on this one, I’m afraid.
I have some good pictures and I can’t wait to tell you the whole story, but for now I have to work and get some sleep. Traveling is exhausting, y’all.
