Traveling – and Mommy & Me Monday #MommyAndMe

We’ve been traveling for a few days, and thankfully we’re a little more rested now that we’re in New York (and thankfully a larger space.) We have two bedrooms, a kitchen and living room. My son has declared this hotel “better than our house.”

I’ve been fairly intentional about not having my phone out the entire trip, but I’m also trying to get into the pictures.

I managed a selfie on our solo plane trip.

Same day, we tried to nap.

And then we went to the Food Truckeroo where it was a billion degrees and loud.

The next day the kids and I went to the zoo. Right before we left, I snapped a picture to document our day. Again it was miserably hot, and we’d been walking for several hours, but it was worth it.

Somehow I even got a family picture at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural Sciences

And last night I had my aunt take a picture of me and the kids in the pool.

The fact that I even allowed someone to take a picture of me in a bathing suit is huge, y’all. My sister-in-law took a few pictures of me with the kids at the beach a few weeks ago, and I’m trying to own it. I’m not proud of the fact that I have a ways to go with my baby-weight-loss, but at the same time I don’t want my daughter to look at pictures one day and wonder where her mother was.

Our trip has been quite the adventure and it’s going by so fast! I’m hoping I can snap a few more photos of me with the kids over the next couple of days!
