Tuesday randoms

I returned to work after six days off, and I was so not ready to be back. (To start things off, a dozen positions were eliminated last week, so I went back to a really empty workplace.)

That said, we have a lot going on. So here’s a list for those interested.

–I paid someone (my 16-year-old cousin) to mow the lawn yesterday. First time I’ve ever paid someone to do my yard work. I’m already thinking ahead to the next time I’ll need his assistance.
–A TCBY is opening near our house later this week. Right after college, I lived in a town that had a TCBY just down the street and I was obsessed with their watermelon sorbet fizz. (It’s just sorbet with sprite in it.)
–Watermelon sorbet. I could go for that right now.
–My ceramics teacher asked me tonight if I thought the baby was going to come early. We still have just over 12 weeks until our official due date. I think it’s a little soon to be talking about an early delivery (but, no, I do not believe McLittle will be here early. If he’s anything like me, he’ll be right on time. And we’re hoping for closer to September 1.)
–We’re no closer to having our nursery painted than we were two weeks ago. We haven’t even picked out a color yet.
–And we also want to paint the kitchen.
–But the husband is taking a grad school class that takes all of his time right now. I’m somehow juggling 90% of the cleaning and cooking and living, while he works and does grad school.
–School ends in less than two weeks. I can’t wait. Then the husband will have time to work on grad school during the day and I’ll have his undivided attention in the evening.
–We’re having a baby in the next three months. Unbelievable.
