Views from my run: Montford (in Asheville)

I did a similar post in February from my downtown running route. I think people must think I’m crazy for taking photos while running, but I think it’s interesting to see what others get to look at on their daily runs!

Just around the corner from my office is a neighborhood named Montford. It’s an older neighborhood with very large historic homes. It’s so pretty and I love running through the neighborhood mainly because of the houses and the sidewalks. There are only a couple of stoplights (as opposed to all of the lights at almost every corner downtown) so I can get a fast run in, if I want to. Here are photos from recent runs:

A purple house! (And it’s also a business.)

There was a house that had caught fire and was set to be demolished. I wish I had taken a picture of it before the demolition, but here it was the day after they knocked it down.

A few days later:

And today.

The park sign (it really needs some sprucing up):

I love the house peeking over the trees.

Someone dropped a ton of pink glittery snowflakes one day last week.

The tour bus is seen all over and I usually feel like I’m a part of their tour. This day, they were a part of my tour. Take that, tourists.

Another house.

Taken on my way back to the office. I cross over a bridge going over I-240. (This same bridge was the scene of my accident back in January. It’s a scary place.)
