I’m here, in Virginia Beach, Va. My hotel isn’t actually ON the beach, but I’m pretty close. It’s a few miles away.
It’s kind of weird being here. Granted, I’ve only seen the hotel and the really long tunnel I had to drive through shortly before I arrived at the hotel, but I don’t have anyone I’m meeting up with on this trip. It’s just me, the beach, the hotel, the half marathon, and 19,999 other people running the half marathon tomorrow morning. There were a lot of people heading out last night, when I arrived, but I was too exhausted to drive myself and see what everyone was raving about. (At 11 p.m., they were heading to bars near the beach…not my kind thing right now.)
I do have to go to the Expo this morning, and get all of my race stuff. Then, maybe a trip to the beach and lounging by the pool, and I’ll call it a day?
I do know that this is going to be a trip full of self-portraits 🙂
