With two types of berries, this Watermelon and Berry Smoothie is chock full of vitamins and nutrients – and screams summertime.

Watermelon and Berry Smoothie

I’ve been working from home for months, but I head back to the office very soon. My morning breakfasts have varied, but I prefer to start my day with a shake or smoothie. This Watermelon and Berry Smoothie recipe has so many nutrients, tastes really good, and is filling enough to help me through my morning! (I prefer to use my Vitamix these days, and it’s quick to take this on the go, so I can drink it in the car.)

Best yet, it contains avocado – aka all the good fats for you. You could switch out some of the berries if you’d like, but we’re heading into blueberry season in my area so I’m kind of pumped to be using blueberries in a new recipe!

Ingredients for the Watermelon and Berry Smoothie:

  • 4 cups watermelon chopped
  • 1 avocado
  • 12 ice cubes
  • 1/4 cup coconut water
  • 1/2 cup blueberries
  • 1/2 cup strawberries

How to make your Watermelon and Berry Smoothie:

  • Prep and chop your watermelon (making sure there are no seeds.)
  • Add all the ingredients into the blender (or Vitamix, which is what I started using more of a few years ago), starting with the watermelon first to make it easier for your machine.
  • Blend all ingredients until smooth.

I feel like the different berries and the avocado are so good for you, that you could try this as a summertime snack with your family to get some extra vitamins into everyone. I’m no going to say no to extra vitamins. This may even be filling enough to be a snack – or ward off the “I’m hungry” comments I get every morning, not long after I’ve served breakfast.
