I’d say we have a walker on our hands, but really he’s an almost-walker.
Last Saturday, my mom, the baby and I went over to the chiropractor (there was an open house, and for a canned food donation, we all got free adjustments.) While in the waiting area, the baby just let go of a chair, and started walking towards the therapy dog (a small Jack Russell terrier.) We were all surprised. He did it again later that night when my husband, my dad and grandma were all around. And then he didn’t have any desire to walk again.
Until today. Today he’s been taking steps. Several at a time. He took about 6 steps towards me before dinner, and he doubled that when he walked to my husband. While my husband was out of the house for a little bit, I tried to get video of our new walker, but that’s so much easier said than done!
I did get a blurry photo, though. And he has his cell phone in hand. Of course.
So we have an almost-walker on our hands. I’m not sure if we’re mentally prepared for this.
