I’m not sticking with the “chosen” topics every day, but I liked today’s topic. What do you do?

If you read my blog, you know I’m a wife, mom, runner, crafter, cat-mom. My day job, however, goes unmentioned a lot of the time. I’ve worked with the same company since 1998. I’m currently the online developer – so I take care of the back-end of the website.
I’ve actually worked in the online department since I graduated college in 2000. I’ve been an online producer, online reporter and then online editor until my current position. I’ve been in this same position exactly four years.
My positions as online reporter and online editor were so much fun and more hands-on with the news. (I work for a newspaper.) I’ve shot videos in breaking news events, entertainment events and presidential visits. On more than one occasion, I’ve shot video from a very tiny airplane, while hanging part-way out of the plane. That was quite possibly the scariest moment of my career, as I have a fear of heights. I’ve also shot video of huge concerts and edited video in a tiny closet on top of Rubbermaid containers. It’s a glamorous life I live.
For years, I was in charge of our music site and did a podcast every week with a local band or a band coming to our town. I’ve interviewed so many amazing musicians and discovered just as much fantastic music. That site kind of died down when I was pregnant and after I had the baby, the site was never revived. (I didn’t have the energy or really the time to keep it up at the end of my pregnancy.)
I now build new sections, new sites and maintain the back-end of our site. Some days are more challenging than others. Some days are a lot more fun than others, but I can’t really complain. (Though, I do complain sometimes.)
Now it’s your turn. What do you do?
