What I’d Like to See in Richmond
We love taking weekend trips, and seeing how my brother moved to the Richmond, Virginia area a year ago, our family will definitely be making a visit.
Thanks to Pearson Hyundai of Richmond, Virginia for collaborating on this post. As always, opinions are my own.
I’ve visited Richmond one time before, back in college. Things have changed! As a family of four, two of whom are children almost five years apart, activities need to be entertaining for a wide range of ages. We’re pretty fortunate that our daughter goes along with most of what our son is into.
So for a first family trip to Richmond I want to check out the following:
Science Museum of Virginia – A hands-on museum for children of all ages (even those 30- and 40-year-old children!) They offer so many hands-on exhibits and I can see my kids loving this for an entire day.
Kings Dominion – We are so looking into this because it’s only 30 minutes north of Richmond and my kids LOVE amusement parks.
Scavenger Hunt Adventure – Their website’s tagline is “where the city is your gameboard – anytime!” What better way to get to know a city than with a scavenger hunt? My son loves reading clues, and my husband is great with puzzles – I think this would be fun for them to check out (and who knows? Maybe this will help my brother get to know parts of the city he’s not so familiar with.)
Metro Richmond Zoo – We can easily spend a day with animals, so the zoo is kind of a no-brainer for us. They’re open year-round and with the milder fall and winter weather Richmond experiences, this could be great soon.
Pearson Hyundai serves customers living in the areas of Richmond, Midlothian, Glen Allen, Tuckahoe, Woodlake and Short Pump. They have an extensive selection new and used Hyundai models – and can I just say I wouldn’t mind having the Hyundai Kona for my family vehicle? It looks really fun (and great for a family of four!)
