what now?
I’ve spent the past 5 hours trying to get our internet connection up (I was a little premature in my excited post below) and after buying a new modem and talking to one nice non-liar at Charter, I’m online. And have been for about 20 minutes. That’s a record, if you look at the past 5 days.
My furlough yesterday was like a hellish vacation day. Sure, the morning was great. Really great. By 2:30, though, the dogs were bored with me and I was bored with myself. By 3 p.m. I realized that I’m so not a stay-at-home kind of girl. I need to work. I need to be doing something, at least.
I’m still afraid of my sewing machine. At least I have some material and thread now (I bought it last night) but I have yet to get past the owner’s manual.
I’m exhausted this week. The husband seems to think it’s the lack of caffeine. Maybe he’s right.
I won’t drink tea – or at least that much of it. I was first introduced to sweet tea in 2000. I attended my first Weight Watchers meeting in 2001. I believe the two are linked. (It wasn’t my fault I lacked control when it came to driving through Bojangle’s drive-thru asking for a large sweet tea every chance I got.) So. No sweet tea and no soda. Makes for a cranky girl.
I’ve been running a lot lately. It’s going to pick up this Saturday when I start running with the TNT group. My goal is to run a faster marathon. I’m not a fast girl, so this is big for me. I just want to be faster than last year.
We’re gearing up for our housewarming party (it’s Feb. 7) and this week our goal is to paint over the spot that is just plain wallpaper in the bathroom. We removed a hanging hairdryer (just like the hotel kind) and it’s this hideous wallpaper. If we get that painted, I’ll consider everything a success.
I’m trying to win tickets to see NKOTB in Greenville in March. Send good thoughts my way. It’s the only way I think April and I will get to see the boys again š
I’m also gearing up for Valentine’s Day. There will be an entire post on that day coming soon. My thoughts on the day and how I used to celebrate it (it was really fun.)
90210 is coming on soon and I must check it out to see if it’s new. That might be the highlight of my day.
Oh and our internet access returned.
Gah! I have charter too and they are IDIOTS there! š Good luck and hope you got it working now for good!
I swear sweet tea during my trip home is why I’m up a pound this week! I couldn’t stop drinking it!
