what to do with our snowy weekend
It’s snowing. That means our city is shutting down. Schools were delayed 2 hours in opening, and then closed 2 hours early – and there wasn’t a flake to be seen in most of Asheville.
My husband made a quick trip to the grocery store tonight for necessities (beer, apples and ice cream bars) and we’re hoping that the roads will be ok so we can do real grocery shopping tomorrow. (Teachers get a discount at one of the grocery stores on Saturdays. We have to take advantage of that!)
I guess if we’re stuck at home, it’s not so bad. We discovered we have free Showtime for a while, and the entire (most recent) season of ‘Dexter’ is available on demand – my husband is in heaven (and on the second episode).
I have a ton of fabric just waiting to be cut and sewn into stuff. I’m terrible at buying fabric and not having a plan for it. I think my first project of the weekend will be a camera case…maybe. And I’d like to make some curtains for a window downstairs. We’ll see what I actually do.
What I might actually do is work on my real work. I’m in the middle of a redesign of our website, and it’s huge. It launches in early February, and I’d love to have it done as soon as possible, just so I don’t have to stress about it.
Snow. It’s good and bad. I’ll let you know how much I like (dislike?) it by next week.
I love that ice cream bars are a necessity. Right up there with the beer!
Yeah, I had an ikea trip planned for tomorrow morning… we’ll see. Where do teachers get a grocery store discount??
Good luck with you sewing projects. Someday I’ll get back into my sewing room…. š
