Where I run: Lake Waccamaw NC #runningview #whereirun

I’ve done a few posts with running views and as I was running this past weekend, I thought it would be fun to do a monthly feature of running views. (I’m also going to make it a link up, so if you’re interested in joining in, please do!)

When I set off Saturday morning, it was in the low 80s with 80% humidity. I had a very difficult time running, and when I finished 3 miles it was in the upper 80s.

This was all between 8:45 and 9:25 a.m. It wasn’t like I set out at 11 a.m.

I still enjoyed beautiful scenery. I imagine the people on the lake were feeling a little better than I was.

My mile splits started out close to 10 minute miles, but I think I finished in my average 11 to 11:30 minute/mile pace.

Now I want to see where you are running this month! Link up below! (This linky is open for 2 weeks so you have some time if you’d like to join in.)

How do you cope with exercise in extreme heat?

It’s so hard to run in humid heat!!! What pretty views though– totally worth it! πŸ™‚

Nice! I love the views, can’t run myself due to an injury but I cycle and always take pictures of my cycling view!

If I had scenery like that I think I would be motivated to run too but then again I’m just too lazy. πŸ™‚

I might start running if I had a view like that. I struggle sometimes to even go outside and walk during the summer. Our heat index has been 100+ the past 2 weeks.

I would love to run through places with nice scenery! So much better than the boring treadmill. I love that lake view!

The view is fabulous. I usually walk at night because it’s cooler. But I would walk in the morning, if I had that view.

beautiful scenery! But be careful out there. Running alone in these areas with not a lot of pedestrian activity can be dangerous.
