All I could think about Saturday morning when I was getting ready for my friend’s wedding was the line from Billy Idol’s song, “It’s a nice day for a white wedding.” It was very white outside. And isn’t it sad that I didn’t take any pictures at the church during the blizzard? I think that says a lot for the day. I was terrified and I didn’t want to remember those moments.
Here’s a few photos from the day (you can view the rest through my Flickr account.)
The bride getting ready (and a bridesmaid in the background)
Me on my phone, while getting my hair done. I can’t part from my phone. Sorry for the blurry photo.
Cynthia, the Matron of Honor, getting her hair done
Cynthia, the bride, changing the reception location two hours before the wedding was supposed to start.
Ready to head to the church! Do you SEE the snow behind us??
(If you look at my Flickr album, you’ll see several photos of a necklace being worked on. My necklace got SO tangled and it took 5 people to fix it!!)
Me and Cynthia. The pashmina was a gift, and we didn’t wear those during the ceramony
An awkward picture of me and my husband:
For some reason, I didn’t upload a full-length photo of me in the dress. I’ll see if I can find better pictures from Cynthia.
The wedding was nice. Obviously, a lot of people didn’t make it because of the storm, but there were still over 50 people there. It was a sweet ceremony and a nice reception (everything had to be brought over from the original location which was on a hill that was not reachable by most cars…or four-wheel drive vehicles!)
I know Cynthia has proofs of the photos…now I just need to get copies of them 🙂
