winding down
My family’s visit to Asheville is winding down in about 10 hours. They have plans to be on the road to Florida by 9 a.m.
It’s been one crazy week. I had them going for three days, and they managed to fill in the hours two other days while I worked. I was also able to give my dad a few things to do around the house (and now we have new smoke detectors hanging up – three of them! – my back door is fixed, our freezer doesn’t make a weird noise courtesy of the furnace guys, and a few other things have been fixed.) Dads are pretty awesome. Even when you’re over 30.
I can honestly say I’m exhausted after this week. I could use a vacation.
And I’m not sure who is going to miss my family more – me or the cat? Actually….probably the cat. She’s been getting a lot more attention, though she has been locked out of her room (the guest room) since last Saturday.
Tomorrow we get back to real life – the one where I have to grocery shop, wash clothes and do my own yard work.
I’ll definitely miss the help around the house. š Hopefully everyone will come back if I promise not to work them too hard.
Dad’s are awesome no matter how old you are. Glad you had a good visit. REturning to life after company can pretty boring.
